About Hinako Yukimoto

In 2019 I competed in a big national ballet competition in Tokyo, Japan, when I was 16 years old. Dance and competitions were not new to me, as I had started dancing at the age of 5 at the Etoile Ballet School of teacher Yui Oide in my hometown of Osaka and had competed in quite a few competitions. Although I did not win this time in 2019, I received the Special Jury Prize and good words about my technique and expressiveness. Jan Linkens, a member of the jury who is the director of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, talked to me and encouraged me to come to the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands.

I entered the bachelor of the Riyal Conservatory program in 2020 and received my diploma in 2 years. During this time I learned a lot, worked with different teachers, dancers and choreographers, and performed both classical and contemporary repertoires. I also met many warm lovely people and have developed as a person. Since 2023, I have been working as an intern at Conny Janssen Danst in Rotterdam and performed in the programs DANSLOKAAL 11 and NEXT.

I am looking forward to further explore what I can communicate to the audience, using the experience gained so far. How my body language changes and can be influenced by my surroundings and environment. Step by step I see a new version of me, I see new people and new spaces every day. I am also excited to see you!
